CoachDeck LLC Partners with The Pitching Academy
San Diego, CA May 1, 2009 – CoachDeck LLC (www.coachdeck.com), a San Diego, CA-based company, has entered into a strategic alliance with The Pitching Academy (www.thepitchingacademy.net), to help provide additional instruction for volunteer youth baseball coaches.
Founded in 2007, CoachDeck manufactures and distributes unique decks of cards containing 52 color-coded drills designed to help volunteer youth sports coaches run fun and meaningful practices. Tens of thousands of coaches use CoachDeck in three sports: Baseball, Soccer and Basketball.
Brian Gotta, President of CoachDeck, believes this partnership will be an important step towards developing additional educational programs within the sport of baseball. "For the past three springs we’ve been very successful making inroads in the community grassroots baseball marketplace. But because we intentionally limited the categories within which we created drills to Infield, Outfield, Hitting and Baserunning, there has been a gap in educating youth coaches in the art of pitching. We believe this relationship will be the first step in narrowing that divide.” The Pitching Academy will provide informative materials including videos, articles and even person-to-person advice for coaches wanting help providing pitching instruction to youngsters.
Dan Gazaway, Owner and Founder of The Pitching Academy, is excited about the alliance. “CoachDeck is a well-known brand in the coach training market and this partnership provides us with a tremendous platform to reach that market with our message.” Gazaway has instructed thousands of pitchers since founding the Academy, and is also a motivational speaker.
“The Pitching Academy provides a clear, concise message combining good fundamental mechanics and safety that fits perfectly into the CoachDeck philosophy,” Gotta said.
CoachDeck cards were created to assist the millions of hard-working youth sports volunteers and parents who would like to help players learn important skills and fundamentals though fun drills and games. Designed by professional coaches, the drills in CoachDeck can be performed by players from 6-16 and are laid out in a fast, easy-to-understand format that allows coaches to conduct an extremely effective practice with little or no preparation.
