CoachDeck LLC Announces the Release of iPhone Apps
San Diego, CA Sep 21, 2010 – CoachDeck LLC, (www.coachdeck.com) has announced the release of their new iPhone apps for baseball, basketball and soccer. Founded in 2007, CoachDeck (www.coachdeck.com) has become popular in the community youth sports marketplace for its unique decks of cards containing 52 drills designed to provide coaches the tools to run effective and fun practice sessions. The new, electronic version of the product is the logical next step, says company President, Brian Gotta.
"As everyone knows, the future of all media is electronic. The iPhone app allows us to penetrate and capture this segment of the market, positioning us for the years ahead."
The CoachDeck app is currently offered in three sports: Baseball, Soccer and Basketball, with "lite" and "full" versions of each available.
Lite versions offer a sampling of CoachDeck drills in each of four categories. The full versions of the CoachDeck app allows users to shuffle through all 52 cards as well as search by name. By utilizing the "Stack the Deck" feature, coaches can quickly pre-plan and pull drills out into a separate folder for instant access.
"Traditionalists" who enjoy the feel and fun of the actual decks of cards needn’t worry, Gotta says. They’re not going anywhere soon.
"We believe there will always be a place for our card decks that people can hold, touch, and shuffle through. But now, those who prefer the experience in an electronic format have a product they will love."
Another benefit to the app version is that it opens CoachDeck to a worldwide market.
"The vast majority of our core business over the past four years has been in North America," says Gotta. "In just the first three days of our app being live we were downloaded in nearly every continent in the world. As our translated versions become available, this opportunity will grow exponentially."
CoachDeck cards were created to assist the millions of hard-working youth sports volunteers and parents who would like to help players learn important skills and fundamentals though fun drills and games. Designed by professional coaches, the drills in CoachDeck can be performed by players from 6-16 and are laid out in a fast, easy-to-understand format that allows coaches to conduct an extremely effective practice with little or no preparation.
